TorTek has developed a patented technology that transforms difficult-to-recycle hydrocarbon waste into valuable circular resources in just seconds.

Unlike conventional recycling methods, our system can process a wide range of materials, including plastics, tyres, fishing nets, textiles, roofing felt, electronic waste, composites and other hydrocarbon-rich waste streams. At the core of the process is a high-efficiency conversion system operating 24/7. By combining thermomechanical energy transfer, fluidized bed technology, centrifugal force and advanced separation techniques, TorTek breaks down hydrocarbon chains and automatically recovers valuable metals and inorganic materials for reuse. The recovered hydrocarbons are converted into a high-quality circular oil that can replace fossil-based raw materials in the production of new plastics, chemicals, fuels and other industrial products. The process also generates an energy-rich gas that can be used to produce renewable electricity

Unlike traditional thermal treatment technologies, TorTek uses intense thermomechanical energy with only a minimal amount of material inside the reactor at any given time, making the process safer and more energy efficient. Fully automated, selfcleaning and environmentally responsible, the system is designed for industrial-scale resource recovery.

Anders a Swedish national and serial inventor, is the mind behind the TORTEK technology. With over 20 patents spanning agricultural efficiency to green hydrogen production, Anders has dedicated his career to creating sustainable solutions.

Originally commissioned to combat oil contamination in Middle Eastern deserts, the TORTEK reactor was developed to break down hydrocarbon pollutants. As global waste challenges intensified, Anders recognised the reactor’s broader potential—offering a scalable solution for processing plastics, tyres, and electronic waste.
